Nothing beats coming back to camp after a long day of data collection and finding yourself at a dining table in a heated tent with a freshly cooked Peruvian meal better than most of what is offered in Huaraz. Joel has been my cook for all four expeditions and his backcountry cooking is the best I have ever had. He also prepares a sack lunch each day and has boiled water at the ready whenever you need it. I can’t recommend La Cima logistics enough, for any mountaineering or backcountry expedition whether it’s scientific or recreational.
