On my first expedition to the Cordillera Blanca I chose La Cima as our logistics agency. My experience was so good that I’ve chosen La Cima for all of my dozen or so trips to the Andes. The man running the show is Chris Benway. Chris has an exhaustive knowledge of the range and its’ culture. He pays tremendous attention to even the smallest details and combines his work ethic with integrity and honesty. Chris has helped me handle low-key shoestring-budget trips, planned on cocktail napkins, along with several big-budget, media intensive, commercial expeditions. An American expat, Chris understands the needs of North American climbers, trekkers, and travelers to the Andes. His expertise is crucial to navigate the bewildering and time-consuming journey from Lima, through Huaraz, and into the mountains. In doing so, we save precious time and money. Plus, he has the best coffee in town…
